About
Chiropractor
Dr. John D’Ambrosio has been in practice for over 30 years. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge, commitment, and passion to help people reach their greatest health potential! He has committed his life’s work to people in need because, as a teen, he saw his little sister helped by a chiropractor when she was suffering from skin and breathing issues where medicine had run out of answers. He saw firsthand what it was like to spend more money on medication only to get sicker and sicker.
My Story
As a teen, Dr. John’s five-year-old sister began suffering from skin rashes and was having trouble breathing. One of the many remedies the family pediatrician recommended was to wash down the walls of her room with bleach, which worked initially but had to be repeated at shorter and shorter intervals until it was being done daily to no avail. His mother’s stress ended up causing her sciatic pain, and while visiting her chiropractor, he asked what was causing all of her tension. She shared what was happening with her little girl (a “miracle” after three boys), and he suggested she bring her in to check her for vertebral subluxations.
This triggered a long-forgotten memory in John’s mother, who suddenly remembered that she suffered from asthma when she was a little girl. Back then, the treatment was to be taken to the hospital for a few days and put on medication and oxygen. Being away from her parents in the hospital overnight was so traumatic that Dr. John’s mom tried to hide her wheezing from her mother (Dr. John’s grandmother) whenever it acted up because she dreaded being taken to the hospital. Without fail, her mother would hear the labored breathing and take her, wheezing and crying, to the hospital. This went on for months until a neighbor in the apartment next door suggested taking this little girl to a chiropractor. His grandmother did exactly that, and her asthma disappeared over the course of care.
With this memory now remembered, Dr. John’s mom immediately started her daughter under chiropractic care, and just like her, within a month, her breathing and skin problems cleared up. Dr. John always remembered this, and soon after starting college, he decided to pursue a career in chiropractic. He completed his prerequisites in New Jersey and then, within days of being married, moved down with his wife to Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude four years later.
They returned to New Jersey to be closer to their parents and start a family. Now, 30 years later, with both their girls in college, they moved back to open a practice here in Woodstock, Georgia. After over three decades in practice, Dr. John knows that the most important patient is the one that is sitting in front of him. He is a true giver and healer!
The Practice Difference
At The Center for Life Enhancement, we take a different approach to helping you regain your health. Dr. John’s 30+ years of experience has allowed him to research the best ways to identify the root cause of your problem and design a unique plan so you can start your journey of self-healing in the most powerful way possible.

This research took on a life of its own back in 2012. Just months after Dr. John won his age and weight class at a World Natural Powerlifting Federation meet in NJ, where he set two state records, he tore his right bicep. Looking forward to having the reattachment surgery done so he could heal and get back to exercising, he was unpleasantly surprised when the surgery paralyzed his right hand. After undergoing nerve conduction tests, they found that the surgery had severely damaged all three nerves in his hand, and the doctors had no idea if he would get any function or feeling back, if he did, how much it would be, or how long it would take. Dr. John went from an athlete and a chiropractor who manually adjusted everyone to a doctor who had to find new ways to do everything while researching the best techniques to heal himself.
He learned new methods to adjust his practice members and invested in tables that helped with this, as well as instruments that only required the use of his left, non-dominant hand. During his learning and healing process, Dr. John made sure that chiropractic care was a major part of it, as well as modifying his nutritional supplementation. After four months of hard work, he could see his thumb twitch slightly, and a year later, he regained full function of his hand. It was a long, challenging journey, but one that allowed him to expand his knowledge of healing well beyond what it was before, and he uses this knowledge to help his practice members daily.
We know that your brain and nervous system control every aspect of your body’s ability to function and heal. That being the case, we want to objectively determine how well those systems are working, and we do that by looking at how you are handling stress. We all deal with stress daily, but it is your brain’s ability to process that stress versus hold onto it, which is a significant factor in how you feel and function. We use state-of-the-art equipment to look into your nervous system and analyze how you are processing stress, how it is affecting different systems of your body, and even determine what age your body is functioning at biologically. This gives us an accurate picture of where you are so we can monitor improvement and tells us exactly how to adjust you and how often you need to be seen.
From there, at each visit, we determine what area or zone of your brain is imbalanced so we know where there is a “dimmer switch” and turn that on to full power. We check six zones, each covering a system of your body.
-
The Glandular Zone – which controls all the glands of the body
-
The Eliminative Zone – which controls everything in your body that eliminates (from the kidneys to the lungs to the skin to the colon)
-
The Nervous Zone – which oversees the function of the nervous system
-
The Digestive Zone – which controls everything involved in digestion
-
The Muscular Zone – which handles all muscles, ligaments, and bones
-
The Circulatory Zone – which controls all aspects of circulation, whether it be blood, lymph, or cerebral spinal fluid
Everything and anything that can go wrong within your body falls within one or more of these zones, and when your zones are clear, we fully expect you to be functioning at your highest capacity.
Once your brain is balanced, we lock everything in with cranial work. There are 22 moveable bones in the skull, and when they move as they should, the brain can receive the proper nourishment and function optimally. Dr. John uses the Cranial Release Technique, a quick, gentle, yet extremely powerful technique that he used to help teach other healthcare practitioners by flying around the country with the method’s developer.
Finally, science has shown that the 20 minutes after the adjustment are when the brain is most plastic or open to change. Why would we balance your brain and nervous system and then, when your brain is most receptive to change, send you out into the world that got you into the condition you ended up needing care for? In our office, we don’t do that. We use that time to maximize your adjustment by placing you on our groundbreaking Transformation Station!
Your brain uses 90% of its energy to hold you upright in gravity, so the first thing we do is take you out of gravity by placing you on one of our anti-gravity chairs. Next, we balance out the electricity in your body and reduce inflammation by having you use one of our Earthing mats. Finally, while this is happening, you will wear a BrainTap headset. BrainTap uses sound and light to gently guide the brain from the chronic and destructive fight-or-flight state into deep relaxation, naturally restoring the parasympathetic balance. This restoration is often all that’s needed to achieve mental harmony, better health, and an exceptional quality of life.
After your 12-25 minute session, you leave the office refreshed, your brain and nervous system optimized, balanced, and free of interference. We have found implementing these Transformation Stations speeds healing and helps make it permanent. We also give you recommended home care, as we are not the keepers of your health but partners and teachers who work to enhance your life by giving you the tools to make sustainable and permanent changes.
