Long before Dr. Deb made the decision to become a doctor of Chiropractic, she had taken an interest in helping others. Her mom would be quick to tell the story that as a young child, Dr. Deb often arrived home with lost animals that needed tender, loving care. Dr Deb’s love and care for other people has been a lifelong attribute that naturally directed her to work in industries that helped others. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Connecticut in 1991, she pursued a degree in Occupational Therapy. Using her tertiary education, she loved working with the elderly in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. In order to make a bigger impact on the people she served at her job, she also became a licensed massage therapist. Dr. Deb graduated from New Life Institute, now a part of Gwinnett College, in 1998 with a license in massage therapy.

While pursuing her degree in occupational therapy, Dr. Deb was a teacher’s assistant at The University of Connecticut and focused on tutoring and mentoring in the chiropractic school. It was there where she fell in love with chiropractic care and decided to achieve the highest education in that industry. After graduating suma cum laude from Life University in 2003 with a doctorate degree in Chiropractic, Dr. Deb started her own chiropractic practice in Acworth, GA. Using her previous years of experience in massage therapy and occupational therapy, she has all the tools she needs to help others using alternative methods and treatment plans.

In fact, Dr. Deb is not only an expert in chiropractic care, but she was once a patient too. At around 15 years old, Dr. Deb was experiencing debilitating migraine headaches. These headaches were so intense and so persistent that, even with the use of modern medications, her headaches did not get better. So, her parents reluctantly agreed to take her to a chiropractor. Her own experience in using alternative, holistic treatments for her migraines is what has made her a lifetime chiropractic believer.

Dr. Deb’s view of reducing pain and increasing the body’s ability to heal faster makes her unique in her chiropractic care. She does not believe in yearly plans or contracts and offers many opportunities to help patients “get better” in an affordable manner. Dr. Deb is truly a caring, loving doctor who will go above and beyond to help her patients heal. As a wife and a mother, Dr. Deb values her family’s health, and she embraces every opportunity to teach others how to keep their family healthy too.
